GLOW Peace Garden at Cross Keys Park
The GLOW Project is preparing to break ground at Cross Keys Park in May for the GLOW Peace Garden, created in loving memory of Elaina Quinn Mammen. Cross Keys is a meaningful place for the family because Elaina and her sisters, Christina and Caitlin, grew up playing and making memories there.
The garden is designed as a safe, nurturing space where residents and visitors can pray, meditate, relax, read, play, and find peace. Caitlin created the first garden sketch, and Christina helped choose flowers, trees, and bushes, many of them Kentucky native.
GLOW hopes this special space will offer hope, peace, guidance, and love to anyone who needs it. The project reflects GLOW's commitment to human equality and a welcoming safe haven across cultures, religions, ethnic backgrounds, and socioeconomic status.
The estimated project cost is $36,000 before volunteer hours, monetary donations, and donated supplies. Donors who contribute at the Platinum level of $200 or more, either financially or through supplies of equal value, can receive an honorary concrete paver placed in the garden with their name and, if they choose, the name of a loved one they have lost.

Jock Sutherland Classic
Jock Sutherland left an imprint in so many ways throughout his life. Although he passed away in November of 2023 at the age of 95, his legacy lives on. Besides being a U.S. Veteran, he coached various basketball teams in the Bluegrass State for many years. He is the only coach in Kentucky history to bring three different teams to the Sweet 16 tournament. He treated each player with respect and equality, regardless of social status, skin color, or financial background. The Jock Sutherland Classic is a yearly basketball tournament created in his honor.
GLOW is the proud sponsor of this event, with donated funds helping players in need, supporting equipment purchases, sponsoring trips, and helping provide uniforms. GLOW and its sponsors also provide door prizes, Squishmallow raffles, coach gift baskets, and food for the players.
Love Like Elaina
Love Like Elaina carries forward Elaina’s heart for everyday kindness. Through bracelets, compassionate stories, and simple acts of generosity, GLOW encourages people to pay kindness forward and keep Elaina’s light shining in the community.
Frankfort KY 2025 Flood Victims
GLOW also supported relief efforts for the Frankfort KY 2025 Flood Victims. Volunteers, community partners, and neighbors worked together to help families recover with cleanup support, donated supplies, and practical encouragement during a difficult season.
