For this GLOW reflection, we are beginning with what visitors can confirm on the public website today. We are not publishing donation totals, volunteer hours, beneficiary counts, partner lists, or project-completion claims until the underlying records and reporting period have been reviewed.
Keeping Elaina’s light at the center
Love Like Elaina remains at the heart of GLOW’s public story. The initiative invites people to carry kindness forward through thoughtful, everyday actions: noticing a need, encouraging someone, sharing a meal, helping an animal safely, or making another person’s day feel less lonely.
This work is not measured only by large events. Its spirit lives in the choice to treat another person with attention and dignity.
Making the Peace Garden vision easier to follow
The GLOW site brings the Peace Garden vision together with project context and a path for future dated updates. The garden is intended as a welcoming place of remembrance, reflection, prayer, and peace at Cross Keys Park.
GLOW is confirming the current project phase, timeline, donation needs, volunteer opportunities, and any memorial-paver details before publishing them as current facts. That verification will allow future updates to be more useful and more trustworthy.
Gathering support information in one place
GLOW’s public resources bring together crisis guidance, mental wellness starting points, grief support information, encouragement, and pathways to authoritative directories.
The Resources & Updates structure is designed to give health-adjacent content clear source links, reviewed dates, crisis disclaimers, and a distinction between community encouragement and professional care.
Preserving community memories without making them look current
The GLOW site includes galleries connected with Love Like Elaina, the Jock Sutherland Classic, the Chili Feed, flood relief, and other community moments. These memories matter, but an archive should not look like an active event announcement.
GLOW is separating past-project galleries from confirmed upcoming opportunities. Clear labels, dates, captions, permissions, and descriptive links will help visitors understand what they are seeing and protect the dignity of the people represented.
Creating clearer ways to take part
Visitors should be able to understand whether they are reading about a current project, an upcoming event, a past gallery, a support guide, or a story of kindness. The GLOW Projects page, Resources & Updates hub, Love Like Elaina page, and Contact and Support page are organized around those distinct needs.
The goal is a simpler path:
- learn about the mission;
- find reliable support information;
- follow verified project updates;
- choose a responsible way to help; and
- carry kindness forward in daily life.
What a future impact report should verify
Future annual updates can become more specific when the records are ready. A detailed annual report should verify the reporting period and document:
- completed project milestones;
- confirmed event dates and attendance where records exist;
- volunteer participation and hours where tracked;
- donations and restricted-project spending where appropriate to report;
- donated goods or supplies with a consistent counting method;
- approved partner roles; and
- stories or outcomes shared with permission.
If a number cannot be supported, it will be omitted. Honest reporting protects the community’s trust and makes future progress easier to understand.
